About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will manage the mechanical and systems technical scope for packaged rotating equipment across onshore and offshore projects. The role involves working closely with project engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You will interpret client specifications, support manufacturing and assembly, and ensure engineering standards are met while contributing to complex system integration involving mechanical, electrical, and control components.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage mechanical and systems scope for rotating equipment such as gas turbine-compressors, motor-driven compressor trains, and associated plant systems
- Support project engineers in addressing technical queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure engineering standards and quality are maintained during design and manufacturing phases
- Troubleshoot compressor and process system designs and integrate with electrical and control systems
- Develop P&IDs and instrumentation wiring diagrams using COMOS
- Support production and assembly through work instructions and drawing revisions
- Perform technical calculations including component sizing and fluid flow analysis
- Provide technical and field support through warranty phase and handover to service teams
- Manage engineering schedules, ensuring timely release of specifications, BOMs, and documentation
- Monitor engineering budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Interface with customers as a technical subject matter expert and represent Siemens professionally
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in rotating equipment
- Experience in reading and converting client specifications into manufacturing or purchase specifications
- Knowledge of compressor systems and process system design
- Familiarity with API standards such as API 614, API 617, and API 692 is a plus
- Experience with engineering and PLM tools such as Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira
- Experience with SAP systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
