Join us as a Linux Expert with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in our office, where you will be at the forefront of designing and maintaining our Linux systems in a cloud environment. Imagine working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with a diverse team to ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with best practices. You will play a crucial role in supporting our operational goals while driving innovation in our infrastructure.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Install, configure, patch, and maintain Linux servers and workstations within the Azure cloud environment.
  • Design and implement Linux-based architecture and infrastructure solutions.
  • Create and manage RHEL Satellite servers and define patching strategies for execution by external partners.
  • Maintain the organization’s golden image for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to deploy and manage Azure resources.
  • Build and maintain GitLab pipelines for infrastructure deployment and change management.
  • Work on Linux configurations including storage, clustering, backup, and server administration.
  • Develop and modify Linux bash scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain network environments, ensuring the health and stability of servers and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with Siemens Energy security standards and Linux server hardening requirements.
  • Support user requests and resolve issues related to Linux servers and workstations.
  • Set up and configure new systems, install and maintain application software, and coordinate network connectivity.
  • Evaluate hardware and software technologies to ensure optimal system performance and modernization.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, track infrastructure changes, and establish best-practice administration standards.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux administration and Azure cloud environments, with a focus on building and maintaining Linux systems.
  • Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Red Hat 8.x) and CentOS.
  • Experience in creating and managing RHEL Satellite servers.
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing patching strategies.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for Azure resource deployment.
  • Experience building and managing GitLab pipelines for infrastructure changes.
  • Strong understanding of Git and GitLab version control.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Basic understanding of containerization, microservices, AKS, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with web server technologies.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting Linux environments and infrastructure issues.
  • Strong shell scripting and automation capabilities.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and operational health management.
  • Knowledge of Linux server hardening and security best practices.
  • RHCE certification is an added advantage.
