Join us as a Commodity Manager for Cabinets & Switchgears, where you will be the driving force behind your commodity across the Transformation of Industry. Imagine blending strategic thinking with hands-on engagement as you co-create commodity strategies that align with business goals. You will actively influence early sourcing and project decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical choices lead to competitive and resilient sourcing solutions. In a dynamic environment filled with change and competing priorities, your clarity, persistence, and direction will turn strategy into impactful results.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own and continuously evolve the global commodity strategy for Cabinets & Switchgears across all Transformation of Industry businesses.
  • Take an end-to-end value chain perspective, connecting business needs, technical decisions, and supply market capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, projects, and other cross-functional teams to influence decisions, ensuring technical choices align with sourcing opportunities and supply chain realities.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional commodity circles to co-create business-centric strategies and drive aligned implementation across IMBs.
  • Drive early sourcing decisions and involve suppliers early in customer projects and product development.
  • Shape and steer supplier relationship management for strategic suppliers, focusing on performance, development, and long-term partnerships.
  • Strengthen supply chain resilience by proactively managing risks and ensuring sufficient and sustainable supplier capacity to meet business demand.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Corporate Commodity Manager for Cabinets & Switchgears, ensuring alignment between TI-specific execution and company-wide commodity direction.

What You Bring

  • Min. 8 years of experience in commodity management, strategic procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of electrical products, ideally Cabinets, Switchgears, or comparable systems.
  • Proven experience in influencing early project, sourcing, and specification-related decisions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent people skills, essential for driving change and aligning diverse interests in matrix organizations.
  • High level of personal resilience, judgment, and persistence when navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Structured, analytical approach to market analysis, cost optimization, supply chain risk management, and capacity planning.
  • Ability to balance business partnership with strategic consistency and governance.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and additional languages is a plus.
