About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is being created to establish a dedicated AI compliance capability within the HR department. The business driver is the increasing complexity and volume of AI assessments required by regulations like the EU AI Act, which can no longer be managed by a central function, necessitating a specialized expert within HR to ensure responsible AI deployment. To address this, the position will focus on three core areas: AI Governance and Risk Management, Compliance Enablement and Documentation, and Cross-Functional Collaboration. This structure ensures that all HR AI initiatives are systematically assessed for risk, supported by clear documentation and pragmatic guidance, and aligned with key stakeholders across Legal, IT, and Data Privacy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- AI Governance & Risk Management
- Lead and execute comprehensive AI risk and impact assessments for HR systems and processes, ensuring alignment with the EU AI Act and other relevant regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the AI governance framework for the HR function, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage the investigation, documentation, and reporting of any compliance deviations or data incidents related to AI applications.
- Define and oversee mitigation and remediation plans resulting from privacy and compliance risk assessments of AI solutions.
- Compliance Enablement & Documentation
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into pragmatic, actionable guidance for HR project teams to ensure responsible AI delivery without unnecessary friction.
- Create and maintain precise documentation for all AI governance activities, including risk assessments, mitigation measures, and evidence for audits.
- Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns for HR colleagues on the responsible and compliant use of AI.
- Support broader compliance topics as required, such as data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and IT compliance checks for new digital HR tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory
- Act as the recognized subject matter expert on AI compliance for the HR organization, providing authoritative advice to leadership and project teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including central AI Governance, Legal & Compliance, Data Privacy, and IT Security, to ensure a consistent and aligned approach.
- Manage communication and project alignment with stakeholders on large-scale AI compliance initiatives, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
- Coach and review the work of other professionals or project members involved in compliance-related tasks.
