About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Handle Payments operations within the Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) end‑to‑end process, ensuring accurate and timely execution of payment runs while supporting process improvements and seeking guidance from the AS Payments Senior Analyst as needed.
Monitor, clarify, and resolve payment‑related issues, including rejected, blocked, or failed payments, while ensuring compliance with internal controls, banking requirements, and approval matrices.
Collaborate and foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders Accounts Payable, Cash & Bank, Master Data, Treasury, Human Resources and business stakeholders, remaining attentive to their needs and promoting standard payment processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute payment runs in SAP and related banking tools, including urgent, manual, and automated payments, while ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, such as payment rejections, bank errors, duplicate payments, returned payments, and blocked items, ensuring proper root‑cause analysis and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls in the Payments process, including SoD, payment approvals, audit trails, and bank connectivity controls. Participate in internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate information and resolving audit queries (where applicable for assigned entities and accounts).
- Coordinate closely with Treasury and Accounts Payable, supporting cash management, payment forecasting, and alignment with funding availability and cut‑off calendars.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships through respectful, agile, and accountable collaboration.
- Proactive in personal development and continuous improvement while contributing to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, and emerging priorities; support management with ad‑hoc tasks, reporting, and operational insights related to the Payments process.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Some background in P2P, Payments, Accounts Payable, or Finance Operations is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of payment processes, bank formats, and internal control concepts.
- Proficient MS‑Office skills, especially MS‑Excel; SAP knowledge (FI, AP, Payment Programs) is an asset.
- Experience with banking platforms, payment interfaces, or ERP payment tools is an advantage.
- Experience with transitions, transformations, or automation initiatives is considered beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders, and proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training or workshops, if required.
