A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Global Buyer (f/m/d) you are responsible for executing operational purchasing activities across international projects and regions. You ensure the availability of goods and materials to support global business needs while balancing cost, quality, delivery performance, and continuity of supply. You manage incoming requests from global internal customers via procurement systems, workflows, and digital tools, consistently meeting agreed service levels and quality standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead and execute supplier negotiations on a global and regional level, including prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions, using classical and advanced negotiation methods (e.g. e-bidding, e-auctions)
  • Create, manage, and monitor global purchase orders end-to-end, ensuring cost-efficient, on-time, and quality-compliant delivery aligned with project and business demand
  • Proactively identify sourcing, delivery, and supply chain risks across regions and escalate issues to global stakeholders to secure business continuity
  • Monitor and evaluate global supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost, sustainability) and actively contribute to strategic supplier relationship development
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, including MOQs, order bundling, standardization, and digitalization
  • Act as a trusted partner for global internal customers, ensuring professional communication, transparency, and solution-oriented support; Maintain and govern global supplier master data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data quality across procurement systems
What You Bring
  • University degree or completed apprenticeship in a commercial, technical, or related field, combined with relevant professional experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment with multiple stakeholders across regions and time zones
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a global mindset
  • Willingness to continuously develop procurement expertise (e.g. contract management, negotiation strategies) and embrace digital and AI-driven procurement tools
  • Strong analytical and structured working style with the ability to break down complex topics and communicate results clearly
  • Excellent English and German language skills (business fluent); additional languages are an advantage
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
