A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Import Export Manager for the Customs department, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all import and export operations, ensuring compliance with the internal processes of the customs department, local customs regulations, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and government authorities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage and supervise end-to-end foreign trade operations of the IMEX (Import Export) team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant customs clearance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the IMEX customs team, assigning workload and ensuring skills development.
  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations (e.g., Customs Law, implementing rules, Ministry of Economy regulations, etc.)
  • Monitor and improve import/export processes, identifying opportunities in foreign trade operations, identifying opportunities for digitalization, automation and early identification of risk.
  • Analyze and maintain KPIs related to customs operations (lead time, costs, compliance risks, customs brokers performance and customs brokers KIPIs) and report performance to management.
  • Participation in meetings with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and any other departments to ensure alignment on trade compliance and operational needs.

What You Bring

  • Professional experience: 6–10 years of experience in import/export and customs operations.
  • Bachelor's degree: International Trade, Foreign Trade, Customs, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing customs compliance, trade programs and customs regulations (LA, RLA, RGCE, Rules of the Ministry of Economics, etc.).
  • Proven experience leading or coordinating teams.
  • English at a professional working level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and compliance mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Leadership, ownership, and decision-making capability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
