About the Role
- Lead development projects to advance DED‑Arc Additive Manufacturing for turbine and generator components
- Drive technology readiness (TRL) progression from lab development to industrial deployment
- Plan, execute, and document material qualification programs according to internal standards, customer requirements, and international norms
- Establish standardized qualification routes for parts with varying complexity and operational requirements
- Collaborate closely with laboratories, test facilities, certification bodies, and internal quality teams as well as act as a technical leader, promoting knowledge-sharing, modern working methods, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, research institutes, technology suppliers, and collaborative networks
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Production Engineering, or equivalent technical field
- Professional experience in Additive Manufacturing, preferably DED‑Arc/WAAM or comparable welding processes
- Strong understanding of materials behavior, welding metallurgy, automation, and qualification procedures
- Very good knowledge in the field of project management and corresponding to several years of experience in interdisciplinary research and development projects
- Strong communication skills, proactive leadership style, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Passion for innovation and technology development
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
