About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our procurement team and play a key role in supporting the rapid expansion of the Grid Technologies Transformers factory network across the Americas. In this position, you will lead and contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies for our three major sites Brazil, Mexico, and Charlotte. You will ensure strong alignment with global commodity direction while driving measurable performance and strategic impact across the TAM cluster at the regional level
How You’ll make an Impact
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with regional suppliers across the Americas, ensuring consistent performance in cost, quality, delivery, and service.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions, managing the full contract lifecycle—from initial agreement through renewal to secure supply and support factory growth and transformer execution across Mexico, Brazil, and the United States.
- Own and drive the procurement and commodity strategy for insulation material across the TAM Cluster factories (Brazil, Mexico, and Charlotte), as well as cooling system or conductive material for the Charlotte facility, ensuring alignment with global direction while adapting to regional market dynamics and operational requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across the Americas Cluster including Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Planning to define and execute sourcing strategies that directly support business and factory objectives.
- Monitor regional market trends, identify risks, and leverage supplier innovations, while reporting KPIs, savings, and project progress to regional and global leadership.
- Facilitate technical clarifications and issue resolution between suppliers and project execution teams in Mexico, Brazil, and the United States to ensure alignment, continuity, and timely delivery. Support supplier‑related activities such as strategic evaluations, risk assessments, and data management within SAP Ariba.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience within Procurement and bachelor’s degree in business or finance. Previous experience in the Energy segment or power transformers business is preferred.
- Experience in procuring a broad range of operational materials and services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with preferred experience in SAP, Tableau, and Power BI Profound experience managing vendors; extreme customer-focus, both internal & external, and a collaborative team player Self‑motivated, demonstrating strong problem‑solving abilities, a continuous improvement mindset, and sound decision‑making skills.
- Leadership soft skills will be considered a strong plus Adaptable and seasoned cross-functional communicator, with sharp critical thinking skills. Strong influencer with solid diplomacy, teamwork, and people skills Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility, and understand sense of urgency.
- Has knowledge of sending RFQ to potential suppliers for quotation, keeping in view the updated approved supplier list, and introducing new suppliers where necessary. Fluent in English, with Spanish and Portuguese language skills considered a strong plus. Partnered with IT to digitalize manual controlling reports by integrating SAP and Alteryx, reducing workload and errors while enabling a shift toward strategic analysis.
- Experience supporting internal external audits, ensuring compliance and process improvement, is a plus.
