A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be representing the Electrical Commissioning Group on worldwide project assignments. By commissioning the Siemens Energy scope on large scale projects i.e., world class and low emission Power Plants, Grid Stabilizing Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems you actively contribute to the energy transition. Your contribution is of utmost importance to ensure trouble-free operation of electrical equipment supplied by Siemens Energy. In a multinational team on site, you will commission individual components or entire systems and ensure quality of our services. Feedback of on-site experience to the engineering teams ensures that our products are subject to continuous improvement.
While our headquarters are in Warsaw and the supporting back office is based in Wrocław, this role open to candidates across Poland. Because the work is project-based and involves travel to various sites both domestically and abroad, relocation to Wrocław is not required.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Implementation of the Quality Management System on site
- Reporting on QA / QC activities to the General Site Manager
- Coordination with consortium members at the project site with respect to QA/QC
- Cooperation with third party organizations in acceptance testing (e.g. pressure test)
- Monitoring and advising sub-contractors and consortium members for compliance with quality management systems requirements as per released field quality plans and procedures
- Monitoring performance of weld inspections and nondestructive examinations corresponding with released project specific field quality plans
- Tracking of deviations / nonconformance’s detected;
- Support in administration of Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Non Conformance Reports (NCR);
- Performing Welder Skill Test based on Siemens Energy requirements
- Monitoring of Pre-Heating-, Welding and Heat Treatment Activities
- Evaluation of X-Rays
- Supporting the pressure testing activities incl. Final Inspection / Line Walkdown
- Closing out work of open point before pressure testing
- Supporting, coordinating and driving compilation of technical site documentation.
- Coordinating and monitoring document controlling and its filing within subcontractor system
What You Bring
- Welding technology, i.e.
- International Welding Engineer/ Technician, or
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI 3.2)
- Non-destructive testing methods Level 2 (ISO 9712, ASNT-TC-1A), i.e.
- VT, PT/MT, RI etc.
- Good English and Polish speaking and writing
