The global energy transition is driving a rapidly increasing demand for high‑voltage equipment. To support this growth, efficient and digitally enabled logistics, warehousing, and inventory management processes are essential.
As part of international new factory construction and capacity expansion projects in the high‑voltage product environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Expert Warehousing, Logistics and Inventory Management. The role is embedded in a technically demanding, globally operating environment and combines deep logistics expertise with strong project and digitalization skills.
In this position, you will define, implement, and optimize material logistics, warehouse concepts, and inventory strategies, working closely with digital, technology transfer, and project teams worldwide.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will define and implement material logistics processes, including incoming goods inspection, material kitting, and material tracking.
- Develop innovative warehouse concepts, focusing on sizing, layout, and the necessary logistics equipment.
- Define specifications for in-house transportation equipment and assist in supplier selection.
- Support purchasing activities for logistics equipment, including conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier sites.
- Ensure the necessary infrastructure for logistics equipment, such as foundations and charging points.
- Collaborate with the Technology Transfer Team to define the final factory layout, including material supply areas and handling zones.
- Optimize material flow and delivery to manufacturing lines in close cooperation with production and transfer teams.
- Work alongside the Digital Lighthouse workstream on warehouse management systems, AGV transport routes, and material kitting procedures.
- Define requirements for external warehousing solutions, including software interfaces.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies, focusing on material types, stock levels, and re-ordering processes.
- Create and implement rules for external Kanban materials (e.g., screws, nuts, washers) and monitor supplier performance based on defined KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with budget, schedule, and quality requirements for all assigned projects, while monitoring progress and identifying risks.
- Prepare project documentation and reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
What You Bring
- A completed degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field, ideally with a focus on material logistics in engineer-to-order environments.
- Over 5 years of experience managing warehouse and logistics processes.
- Strong IT knowledge and experience with large software implementation projects.
- A high willingness to travel internationally and flexibility to work at various locations.
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working in international and intercultural teams.
- Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities for close cooperation with internal and external partners, including equipment suppliers and project managers.
- An analytical mindset, structured working style, and a high level of initiative.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
