About the Role
- Lead global EQS governance by running and evolving the global operating cadence for Substations covering QM/NCC, EHS, Product Safety, and Sustainability, reviewing risks and deviations across regions and projects to ensure early identification and consistent escalation
- Drive quality and non-conformance outcomes ensuring transparent oversight of Non-Conformance Costs, challenge the quality of Root Cause Analyses and Corrective and Preventive Actions, and keep a sharp focus on preventing recurrence across the organisation
- Govern EHS and Product Safety risks, overseeing high-risk exposures and incidents, ensuring cross-regional learning, effective preventive actions, and systematic lifecycle tracking of Product Safety risks from identification through to closure
- Apply a maturity-based operating model calibrating your support to where each region is: increase structure and guidance where maturity is low, and enable autonomy where teams are ready - while coaching and challenging regional EQS leads through structured reviews and best-practice sharing
- Partner across the business to drive action; collaborating with Operational Excellence, Supplier Quality Management, and Substations leadership to decide which issues require escalation, business action, or leadership attention, ensuring nothing falls through the gaps
- A university degree in engineering, a technical or business discipline, or comparable hands-on professional experience in complex operational environments
- Multiple years of experience across Quality, EHS, Product Safety, and/or Sustainability with a strong track record of running governance systems and operating models, not just subject-matter expertise
- Experience working across regions, projects, factories, or execution units at different maturity levels, combined with a solid grasp of reactive and preventive methodologies such as NCC management, RCA/8D, risk management, audits, and incident investigation
- The ability to make clear, confident decisions under pressure and drive escalation when it matters, paired with strong communication and stakeholder management skills in international, cross-functional environments
- Advanced English proficiency (additional languages are a plus); willingness to travel as the role requires.
