A Snapshot of Your Day

As Production Supervisor, you will provide continued operational leadership for the 2nd shift within the New Components Production Management team at the Winston Technology Center. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the team meets its production schedules and performance standards without interruption.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive oversight of the shift’s performance and personnel, with a focus on three core areas: direct supervision and development of the production team, management of daily manufacturing operations to meet output and efficiency targets, and ensuring strict adherence to all safety and quality protocols. Given the emphasis on team leadership and operational execution, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in a manufacturing environment, strong supervisory skills, and a solid understanding of production planning and control principles to effectively lead a para‑professional workforce.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities of second‑shift para‑professional manufacturing employees to ensure production schedules and performance standards are met.
  • Set daily operational objectives and delegate tasks to ensure production goals are achieved efficiently.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster skill development, engagement, and accountability.
  • Ensure all team members understand and adhere to company policies, practices, and operational procedures.
  • Manage and control the production schedule to optimize the use of labor, tools, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with material handlers and other shifts to maintain a controlled flow of materials and work‑in‑progress.
  • Monitor production output against schedules, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and report on shift performance.
  • Enforce all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations while upholding quality control standards throughout the production process.
  • Complete and maintain accurate production records, shift hand‑off reports, and compliance documentation.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity is required.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, including workflow management, accountability, and influencing skills.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, lean manufacturing principles, machining environments, and inventory control.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement processes to drive operational efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of quality control standards and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are a plus.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
