A Snapshot of Your Day

Your morning might begin by reviewing the latest updates on Qatar’s North Field Expansion or shifts in Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) procurement regulations to ensure our strategic positioning remains competitive. By midday, you are deep in a Market Evaluation Planning (MEP) session, synthesizing intelligence on hydrogen pilots and CCUS opportunities into a high-impact presentation for the Middle East Africa (MEA) Hub leadership. Your afternoon is spent "on the ground" in Doha—perhaps meeting with a local partner to discuss In-Country Value (ICV) compliance or navigating a strategic discussion with QatarEnergy or KPC stakeholders. You wrap up the day by bridging the gap between local Gulf realities and global KPIs, providing the Country Managing Director and Head of Strategy & Markets (MEA) with the localized intelligence needed to steer regional growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Localization & ICV Mastery: Develop and execute a comprehensive Upper Gulf strategy to maximize In-Country Value (ICV) scores in Qatar and support National Content programs in Kuwait without compromising global quality standards.

Regulatory & Policy Navigation: Act as the strategic lead for interpreting the impact of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and Kuwait’s Vision 2035 on our portfolio, ensuring Siemens Energy maintains "preferred partner" status in major utility and oil & gas tenders.

Market Intelligence: Provide "boots-on-the-ground" analysis of the Upper Gulf power and gas sector, specifically focusing on the integration of renewables, grid stability for mega-projects, and the decarbonization of LNG value chains.

Strategic Roadmaps: Support the MEA Strategy Head and Country MD in assessing local partnerships, joint ventures, or service hub expansions that enhance our competitive edge in the Qatar and Kuwait markets.

Global-Local Synthesis: Synthesize the Country MD’s immediate operational needs with the MEA Hub’s long-term strategic KPIs, ensuring the unique risk-reward profile of the Upper Gulf is accurately represented in global investment committees.

Stakeholder Diplomacy: Represent Siemens Energy in strategic reviews with major energy sector players (e.g., QE, Kahramaa, MEW, K-Companies) ensuring our "local-first" procurement and employment plans are optimized.
