A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Enegry Gas Services Europe/Africa ‘Onshore Field Service’ (SE GS EU&AF SO FSO) is an integral part of the Field Service & Tooling organization in Europe and Africa. You as a part of our team are responsible to execute and staff Field Service projects within the region on GS D, GS C and TI CP products and outside the region if needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Staffing Hubs
  • Managing FS headcount within your organization
  • Building strong partnerships and communication with respective PCCs within FS global organization
  • Good communication with PM organization
  • Good communication withing FS Managers of the region countries
  • Good knowledge of region countries fleet
  • Optimal FS team setup based on short-term and long-term planning both for planned and unplanned outages considering the demand of the whole region (several countries)
  • Recruiting of required FS headcount within the staffing hub
  • Optimization of existing headcount in terms of cross-training of Field Service Engineers and Technicians
  • Organization of required trainings and PCC certificate tracking
  • Optimization of Head count certification in terms of localization
  • Coach and develop the local FS team with high levels of team satisfaction and employee retention
  • Ensure utilization, timelines, quality targets are met in terms of all FS activities execution
  • Responsibility for compliance with legal requirements related to the activity of field staff
  • EHS responsibility for the FS team and their activities at customer sites
  • Effective management of regional tooling center
  • Support our digitalization efforts
  • You will foster a culture of transparency, entrepreneurship, inclusiveness and will act as a change agent for your teams

What You Bring

  • Strong Team Player with excellent leadership capabilities and communication skills
  • Be able to apply these skills at all company levels withing you organization
  • Good understanding of our company organization, including head offices and regions
  • 5+ years of personal (preferably hands on) experience in Field Service
  • Experience in leading a team of 5+ people
  • Project Management skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of turnkey project set ups and understanding of various implementation concepts are essential
  • Bachelor’s degree college/university in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Responsibility, ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
