- Enhance wind farm operations by implementing improvements in daily tasks.
- Work inside the wind turbine enclosure at an elevated height of 300 feet.
- Maintain composure and clear thinking in stressful or hazardous situations to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including: Ladder and stair climbing, Prolonged standing and walking, Lifting, bending, and twisting, Overhead work, pushing, and pulling, Exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions
- Take on additional roles and responsibilities efficiently to support wind farm operations.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration by working effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals. Approach challenges with determination and adaptability to ensure continued success in a demanding environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 or more years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic field preferred. A College degree or equivalent competency in a field related to the work of a wind farm technician ie: electrical / mechanical systems is desirable. Various combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment. Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations. Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
- Strong ability to prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation, ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
- Hands on experience working with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters.
- Experience interacting with customers at various levels of responsibility within their respective organizations.
- Traveling (up to 15%) to sites within our district, training facilities in the US, or additional locations is a requirement of the job. Must be eligible to hold a valid Passport and Driver’s License.
