A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Digitalization Engineer, you will work with business and technical teams to improve processes through data, analytics, automation, and digital tools. Your day may include gathering requirements, building or enhancing dashboards, data pipelines, applications, or automated workflows, and connecting systems to improve visibility and efficiency. You will help translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions that support better decision-making and operational performance. You will also support testing, documentation, training, and continuous improvement to ensure successful adoption.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and enhance digital solutions for reporting, analytics, process automation, and operational improvement
- Build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, applications, and workflow automation tools
- Integrate data sources and business systems to enable reliable data flow and better decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency using analytics, RPA, AI, and low-code/no-code technologies
- Help ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across digital solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver user-focused solutions and support adoption through testing, documentation, and training
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in digitalization, data analytics, software development, automation, or a related field. Working experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SQL, reporting, data integration, or ETL/ELT tools.
- Familiarity with programming, scripting, or automation tools such as VB.NET, C#.NET, Python, Power Platform, UiPath, or similar technologies. Working experience in ASP.NET Core or VB.NET is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
