- Shape and continuously develop the global Customs Process Landscape of Siemens Energy by defining standards, harmonized processes, and best practice guidelines in line with WCO frameworks, industry standards, IT systems, and business requirements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end customs processes and their interfaces with other corporate functions in a global operating environment. Integrate ICP requirements as well as central customs processes into the overall Siemens Energy E2E-process and system landscape.
- Serve as a trusted expert within the global organization for all customs-related inquiries, ensuring compliance and promoting best-in-class practices by providing expert guidance on customs topics and operational best practices to central and regional stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of developments in international trade and customs regulations, proactively evaluating their impact on Siemens Energy’s business and operations.
- Strong professional background in customs, with in-depth knowledge of international regulations, customs regimes, and special procedures, including their implementation in IT systems and data-driven environments.
- Degree in customs, law, economics, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on foreign trade.
- Long-term relevant experience in customs, with proven expertise in operational topics and customs process design.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex trade compliance requirements into clear process documentation and IT specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and GTM solutions, combined with excellent communication skills and business-fluent English for effective stakeholder management.
- Structured, independent, and team-oriented working style, paired with strong process thinking and a willingness to travel for business purposes.
