About the Role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 5 commercial project managers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration, while overseeing commercial project management activities for large and complex projects to ensure comprehensive control of project portfolios, financial integrity, and adherence to accounting and procedural standards.
- Manage project controlling, forecasting, reviews, and financial reporting, and play an active role in monthly financial closing, cost-to-complete assessments, and project steering meetings to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Drive the implementation of business plans, focusing on financial management, strategic reviews, and risk/opportunity evaluation within the Substation Business Unit, while ensuring clarity and optimization of all financial and commercial matters.
- Provide actionable insights from project execution to tendering, supporting the acquisition of high-quality, profitable projects and contributing to the strategic growth of the business unit by improving processes and increasing transparency.
- Ensure clarity and optimization of all financial and commercial matters, including contract analysis, business model determination, and preparation of critical financial documents to support project success.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of critical financial documents, ensuring alignment with business goals while maintaining transparency and integrity across all commercial activities.
- A minimum of 8 years of successful experience in Finance, Accounting, Finance Project management, or a relevant field.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for degrees in Accounting or Finance.
- Demonstrated expertise in the execution, management, and oversight of EPC projects, supported by a strong background in commercial project management specifically related to EPC projects, and proficiency in POC accounting with adherence to Siemens Energy’s Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS guidelines.
- Advanced experience in SAP modules PS, SD, and FI, with experience as a leader being beneficial, and supported by certifications such as PMP, IPMA, PM@Siemens, or CPA, which are highly valued.
- Demonstrated capability through additional professional certifications such as PMP, IPMA, PM@Siemens, or CPA, which are highly valued and complement expertise across EPC project execution, commercial management, and financial processes.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
