A Snapshot of Your Day
A Technical Project Manager (TPM) for Custom Developed Tools in the SE DC APB PESV SVPO department has a broad variety of tasks and to fulfill the often-challenging role properly a bundle of different skills is needed. TPM often leads an offshore application support/ development team and acts as a liaison between the team and the Business Owner. TPM needs to understand the business process and the related requirements. He or she can break down Business Requirements into user stories, explain it to the development team and manage the complete development chain so that the aligned road map with the Business Owner is kept. Summarizing the TPM is mixture of a Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer, Product Owner, Project Manager and Service Manager in one person as he or she is also end-to-end responsible for the service.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Management of an offshore team (4-6 people)
- Product ownership and full end-to-end responsibility for named tools of the Value Center
- Act as liaison between the Business Owner and the development team.
- Fulfill role as Technical Project Manager (incl. Business Analyst /Product Owner role) in the agile projects.
- Management of all projects in the context of named tools to digitize business processes
- Responsibility for quotation and license management
- Development of cost-charging models
- Management of internal/external suppliers and creation of purchase orders
- End-to-end-responsibility for service management (service planning, service controlling and -reporting)
What You Bring
- University degree in IT or related field
- Several years’ experience in project management or as Product Owner, especially in the agile environment (SCRUM, Kanban)
- Several years’ experience in Requirements Engineering (also tool supported, UML, Rapid Prototyping)
- Several years of experience in Service Management
- German at native speaker level as well as business fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to lead an offshore team using excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand business processes and develop requirements
- Several years of experience as well as in-depth knowledge of IT software development projects
- Experiences in commercial processes (budget planning and -controlling).
- Customer-oriented behavior as well as the ability to work together with responsibility and respect
- Abstraction capability and logical thinking
- Basic experience in the technology of Web Applications as well as distributed IT systems (Microservices).
- Basic knowledge in a programming language (e.g. Java or #C) and the related programming logic artefacts.
- Knowledge in the following tools: JIRA, Graylog, Confluence
About the Team
Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables •Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization •On some projects, where applicable, manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables Specialization Match Note: Para-Professional incumbents update/maintain project schedules and associated resource plans and prepares progress reports. Para-Professional support may be in a Project Management Office (PMO) environment supporting multiple IT Projects.
