A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Global Head of Erection and Commissioning (E&C) for Gas Service Solutions, you lead and empower a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering safe, high quality, and timely execution of all erection, installation, and commissioning activities across our solutions project portfolio.

Your day is a mix of strategic leadership, operational oversight, and cross functional coordination. You ensure that the field execution capacity needed is fulfilled, performed to the highest technical standards, aligned with customer expectations, and fully compliant with Siemens Energy’s safety, quality, and performance requirements. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Service Operations, you highly contribute to shaping the execution strategy for complex projects and driving continuous improvement across all phases of site execution.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and mentor Erection & Commissioning teams, including commissioning engineers, site managers, and technical specialists; foster a strong safety culture and ensure consistent application of EHS standards across all sites; drive team development through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing initiatives; promote innovation in site execution methods, digital tools, and commissioning processes.
• Define E&C execution strategies for solution-oriented projects in alignment with Sales and Project Management; ensure execution plans are technically sound, cost-effective, and meet overall project objectives; develop new E&C execution methods and strategies aiming to increase competitiveness and foster innovations in execution models; evaluate risks proactively and implement robust mitigation measures for both erection and commissioning phases.
• Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and PM to ensure readiness for site deployment; provide erection and commissioning expertise early in the bid and design phases to influence quality and constructability; interface with Customer organizations during planning, execution, and handover.
• Oversee site execution activities ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets and ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and mobilization strategies for all project sites; optimize utilization of internal and external labor, balancing cost and technical requirements; ensure cost transparency and accountability across all E&C operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal leadership. Communicating progress, risks, opportunities, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders, and secure alignment on project priorities and execution strategies.
• Conduct after-action reviews to capture lessons learned and improve excellence; monitor industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to enhance Siemens Energy’s execution capabilities; drive initiatives in digital commissioning, remote support, and advanced diagnostics.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience within the energy sector, ideally in gas turbine or combined‑cycle applications.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing multi‑disciplinary teams in complex project environments.
• Understanding of erection and commissioning processes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into stakeholder‑ready messages.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and organizational strengths.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, develop talent, and lead teams through challenging execution phases.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
