A Snapshot of Your Day
Being part of Grid Automation in Digital Grid as Engineering Manager for Region Germany you have full responsibility for successful implementation of engineering substation secondary system in AC substations. You are a key figure in our organization defining the technical strategy to develop solutions for Protection, Control and SCADA for AC Substations in Germany. You will design the approach for the offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compatibility with the solution portfolio. By analyzing customer needs early on you will guide the development of technologically advanced and commercially viable solutions. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you work closely with Sales, Tendering, Project Manager, Finance, Legal to ensure seamless integration of expertise from the early stages. You will build up and mentor a diverse team in Germany that will work closely with a highly qualified teams overseas, creating a high performance set up while translating business strategy into actionable technical goals maximizing team achievements, cohesion and innovation.

What You Bring
- University degree in electrical engineering, automation or similar
- Long term work experience in substation control and protection systems in energy transmission and distribution including renewable integration
- Long term experience in leading teams with different technical domains, cultures and locations
- Profound technical knowledge and long-standing working experience in automation technology, digital substation and grid integration
- Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects for secondary systems in HV substations.
- Leading authority who helps to strengthen the organization for long term success
- Several years of experience as an engineering manager or project lead with strategic direction
- Innovative open mindset to explore new paths
- Technical and Business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills in German (mandatory) and English (mandatory)
