A Snapshot of Your Day

Step into the world of cutting‑edge wind turbine blade development as you support the CAD design and documentation workflow for next‑generation rotor blades. As a 12‑month CAD Design Engineer Intern, you’ll work with the Blades engineering team in India to create precise 2D/3D models, strengthen design documentation, and contribute to the continuity of blade development processes. Every day, you’ll help ensure high‑quality engineering data that advances the design of future wind turbine technologies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D models of rotor blade components using Unigraphics NX and AutoCAD.
  • Apply mechanical design principles and established drawing standards, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), to produce accurate technical drawings.
  • Support senior engineers throughout the product design and development lifecycle for next‑generation turbine blades.
  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining technical design documentation, potentially using a PLM system like Teamcenter.
  • Participate in structured trainings to understand rotor blade concepts, polymer-based fiber‑reinforced composites, and blade manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure design data is correctly documented, updated, and maintained throughout the project.
What You Bring
  • A recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and NX.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and GD&T.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation.
  • Foundational knowledge of composite materials, composite manufacturing processes, and PLM systems.
  • Eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative approach suited to an engineering environment.
