Imagine being the electrical engineering expert who shapes the technical vision behind Siemens Energy’s most critical infrastructure projects. As a Specialist Electrical Design Manager, you’ll guide projects through complex electrical design decisions, ensure technical excellence across global projects, and champion solutions that drive safety, sustainability, and operational performance. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence design strategy from concept to commissioning, and ensure every electrical system supports our mission to power a sustainable future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead electrical design strategy for major construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy technical standards, operational requirements, industry safety regulations, and sustainability objectives.
• Provide expert consultancy to internal stakeholders, translating operational needs into robust electrical design requirements, performance criteria, and feasibility studies, including load assessments and system modelling for early-stage decision making and investment planning.
• Review and validate designs from global and local engineering partners, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, relevant codes, and value engineering principles to optimise cost, efficiency, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
• Manage design risks by participating in technical risk workshops, developing mitigation strategies for electrical infrastructure, and contributing to project controls through design schedules, resource planning, and progress reporting.
• Champion the use of digital engineering tools by collaborating with the Digital Acceleration team to integrate modelling, simulation, and data-driven design workflows across projects.
• Promote sustainability by advising on energy-efficient technologies, renewable integration, pathways to green building certifications, and acting as a technical authority for the Real Estate community through guidance, governance, and knowledge sharing globally.

What You Bring

• Over 5 years of experience in electrical design or electrical engineering consultancy for industrial, commercial, or energy-related facilities, preferably within international and multicultural environments.
• Strong technical expertise in LV distribution systems, standby power, UPS, lighting, earthing, protection coordination, and integration of building services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in feasibility assessments, detailed electrical design, value engineering, and design assurance, with ability to manage and challenge external design partners while fostering strong collaboration.
• Familiarity with digital design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and electrical calculation software such as Amtech/Trimble.
• Background in working within multidisciplinary, multinational teams with diverse technical and cultural perspectives, complemented by advanced English proficiency.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related discipline, with willingness to travel when required.
