LC hub Europe acts as first point of contact for all LC matters from regional management and as experts for local LC matters, in particular in relation to regulatory and compliance, governance and entity management, people development and set up optimization, government affairs and customer relations and risk and crisis management. In addition, LC hub EU hosts operational resources and legally supports overarching topics concerning all business area’s to maintain and utilize synergy effects. LC hub EU is responsible for monitoring legal developments in the regions and their markets and to ensure local corporate governance within the processes and principles defined globally by LC Core, including corporate housekeeping.
In this role you will act as a trusted and forward-looking legal business partner that fosters collaboration and regulatory excellence, delivering agile, locally attuned, and globally consistent legal support that enables resilient governance and enduring trust with our people, customers, and stakeholders. Your focus will be on The Netherlands and other countries in Western Europe. How You’ll Make an Impact
• Act as a pivotal legal adviser for Siemens Energy B.V, its Holding Company and the Finance Company, by providing legal advice on intra-group financing, capital measures, global subsidiary management, M&A transactions and cross-border restructurings, drafting corporate and finance documentation and instructing external counsel and notaries.
• Advise on corporate and finance law, governance and regulatory, more specific on health and safety, crisis management, data privacy, intellectual property, it law, product liability, procurement, insolvency, litigation, anti-trust and competition law across countries in the Netherlands as well as across other countries in Europe.
• Manage legal risks and opportunities, balancing good governance with business agility. Promote legal excellence by preparing training materials and providing training sessions for business colleagues on legal and contractual principles.
• Elevate our Legal & Compliance department's standards, strategically managing costs and external counsel. Implement process improvements and lean methodologies to streamline efficiency.
What you bring
• You are a qualified Dutch lawyer with a Master in Law (Rechtsgeleerdheid), registered at the Dutch Bar association (or the having the ability to do so), with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (including the training period as a lawyer – “advocaat stage”).
• A proven legal background with experience in an international company or law firm, particularly in corporate and finance law, intra-group financing, capital measures, global subsidiary management, M&A transactions and cross-border restructurings. Experience and/or an interest in health and safety, crisis management, data privacy, intellectual property, it law, product liability, procurement, insolvency, litigation, anti-trust and competition law.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English. Additional languages are an asset (especially French).
• An enthusiasm to work internationally across borders with a specific interest in corporate governance.
• A strong sense of ownership and ability to advise on complex legal structures.
• Strategic negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach to facilitate transactions and drive change.
• Proactive, analytical and with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating with colleagues (engineers, finance, sales, senior management) within a business environment, and across the globe.
About the Team
The Hub Europe in-house LC team consists of approximately 40 lawyers, contract managers, and compliance officers. We are committed to providing the highest ethical and quality standards for the legal advice provided by the LC team. You will be reporting to the General Counsel for Western Europe, South-West Europe and Turkey, whilst having close interactions with the General Counsel Europe, both located in Rijswijk, the Netherlands.
