A Snapshot of Your Day

You will spend your day reviewing code, guiding developers on best practices, and ensuring that platform components meet performance, security, and reliability standards. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and QA teams to maintain a robust and scalable platform for substation automation solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and architectural guidelines.
  • Detect and communicate security, reliability, and performance risks early in the development lifecycle.
  • Validate code quality using static analysis tools and hands-on review techniques.
  • Provide actionable feedback and maintain review documentation to support continuous improvement.
  • Apply modern engineering practices (CI/CD, containers, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, automated testing).
  • Ensure correct handling of process data/configuration and integration of subsystems in automation environments, aligned with IEC standards and cybersecurity best practices (IEC 62443).


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with code reviews and platform development in industrial/automation software contexts.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., C++, C#, Rust, Python) and solid Git/version control practices.
  • Familiarity with substation automation protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus) and SCADA/HMI environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and secure coding principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
