A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will actively shape the project business of Siemens Energy by managing complex contractual matters. This includes the analysis of contracts, the identification and assessment of risks, and strategic contract negotiations. In addition, you will advise the project and site management teams on major projects to optimally safeguard legal and commercial interests.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Active support of project management and site management in implementing customer, consortium, and subcontractor agreements to safeguard the rights and entitlements of Siemens Energy
• Consulting and support in contractual and commercial matters, including change order processes as well as reviewing and preparing relevant correspondence
• Strategic analysis of technical, commercial, and contractual aspects to develop project specific claim strategies
• Efficient pursuit and defense of claims through targeted consulting and the collection of relevant project records and documentation
• Close cooperation with internal legal teams to thoroughly determine and provide facts for quantum and/or time extension claims
• Support in evaluating delay and quantum analyses to clearly demonstrate causation of relevant events impacting schedules and scope of work

What You Bring

• Successfully completed degree in engineering, business administration, or law • Many years of relevant experience in contract and claims management as well as in contract analysis and drafting – combined with a legal, technical, or commercial background and a strong interest in project business
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with project, site, and legal teams
• Experience in evaluation (technical quantification, bills of quantities, unit rates, re measurement) as well as knowledge in scheduling or project controls is desirable
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 10–15%)
• Excellent English skills / contract English, both written and spoken
• Desirable: Experience working with international clients and partner companies (e.g., in Italy, Spain, UK)
