Snapshot of Your Day

Your schedule will follow a 2:2 rotation pattern. Work typically begins at 8:00 AM, depending on weather conditions.You start your day coordinating with crane partners, technicians, and project teams to ensure the safe and efficient execution of Major Component Replacement activities on-site. As you oversee operations, you guide your Heavy Lift Technicians, reinforce safety culture, and keep communication flowing across all stakeholders. Between managing on-site tasks and supporting standard service activities across Poland, you provide project updates to the Major Projects Manager and help shape continuous improvements. Your leadership directly strengthens Siemens Gamesa’s growing presence in Poland and contributes to delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable wind farm operations.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Oversee all on-site operations for MCRs, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution aligned with regulatory and company standards.
  • Serve as the primary coordination link between crane companies, technicians, customers, and local operations teams to maintain clear and effective communication.
  • Work on a rotational schedule of 14 days on-site and 14 days off with 12-hour shifts, including readiness to travel across Poland and broader Northern and Central Eastern Europe.
  • Lead and support a growing team of Heavy Lift Technicians, fostering a strong safety culture and promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on technical and organizational project aspects to the Major Projects Project Manager, ensuring visibility of progress and challenges.
  • Manage resource allocation during downtimes, support service activities such as maintenance and retrofits, and contribute to continuous improvement and strategic planning for operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Strong leadership experience in managing complex on-site projects, with the ability to motivate teams and drive safe, efficient execution.
  • Solid technical background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems, with the capability to understand heavy-lift operations in wind energy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination with technicians, crane partners, and project stakeholders; fluency in Polish and proficient English.
  • High adaptability and resilience, comfortable working in a rotational schedule, at heights, and in challenging weather conditions.
  • Mobility and physical readiness, including extensive travel within Poland and occasional travel across Europe, supported by a valid driver’s license.
  • A strong safety mindset and problem-solving approach, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and proactive response to unexpected challenges.
