Position Title: Customs Expert

A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced leader to oversee our customs operations in Morocco. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the Customs HUB Middle East & Africa and local teams, implementing a comprehensive customs strategy that aligns with both company objectives and local regulations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute a sustainable customs strategy and regulatory framework for the region.
  • Collaborate with headquarters and local authorities to ensure compliance and efficient customs processes.
  • Support business operations with expertise in customs and foreign trade, providing end-to-end guidance for projects.
  • Organize training for customs teams and stakeholders, and manage contracts with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Act as the main contact for escalations and strategic decisions at the regional level.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in customs, economics, foreign trade law, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in customs, with strong knowledge of regulations and logistics.
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into effective processes.
  • Proficient in English, French, and Arabic, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team player with leadership experience and the ability to adapt to diverse environments.

About the Team

The customs organization of Siemens Energy, after becoming one Team with Siemens Gamesa Renewables, comprises globally of >210 colleagues. Our Customs team is responsible for and manages country wide compliance with and implementation of customs regulations that can result from national, multinational and supranational provisions.
