How to contribute to our vision

We are looking for Lead Technician to join the team to direct the activities carried out by resources at a large facility under their responsibility, with the main objective of ensuring that the operations are carried out in a safe and productive manner to guarantee the performance of the projects and in turn fulfilling contractual agreements with clients

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead, analyze and resolve problems independently and efficiently. They will provide excellent service to our customers, could work on complex systems in challenging environments, and participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices. Safety and Quality form a central part of our culture, and the ideal candidate will have a strong focus on both.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Site level support to the Service Operation Manager (SOM)

  • Coordinating site technicians and contractors before and during execution of work.

  • Leading Safety/Quality Culture onsite.

  • Assuring the site level team is working safely, performing the work according to the work instructions, and working efficiently.

  • Reporting any Health. Safety, & Environmental (HSE), Quality, etc. violations to the SOM immediately.

  • Ensuring adherence to defined guidelines, processes, and procedures, for all site operations assigned and drive continuous process improvements.

  • Holding overall responsibility for site performance

  • Monitoring service on time and maintenance wind turbines according to plan.

  • Troubleshooting (Unscheduled incidents at Windfarms), First level support resolving issues that arise during operation

  • Technical Assistance to the Maintenance Team

  • Preparing plan of the day (POD) and dispatching assigned tasks to the team, in close communication with the Resource planner and SOM.

  • Controlling and closing of executed Service orders (SO), report deviations to work orders , checklists (ZCH), Records and incidents

  • Ensuring site level day to day communication and reporting with the customer.

  • Agreeing on downtime allocations with customer as per the contract.

  • Assuring timely submittal of all required documentation (service checklists, retrofits/upgrade documentation, work orders, time sheets, expense reports, etc.).

  • Escalating technical issues to the SOM, or directly communicate with Field support, first and second level support teams.

  • Gathering information for incident investigation

  • Supporting the short-term planning within next 30 days

  • Performing site inventory as required.

  • Ordering consumables and other office supplies, as needed or as directed by the SOM.

  • Assuring proper packaging etc. of parts to be shipped off site.

  • Supporting the SOM in performance reviews for technicians

  • Training assessments (technical and non-technical)

What You Need to Make a Difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • Minimum 3+ years wind experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ plus years Wind experience with an Associates or Trade School Degree/Certification

  • Experience leading a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Ability to climb to heights up to 250 feet or greater and work in confined spaces

  • Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations

  • Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license
