We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team in Sciacca. As a Service Technician, you will work together with another technician executing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and troubleshooting inside the wind turbines.

How to contribute to our vision

The candidate will perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in wind-turbine generators. You should have a desire to learn about electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics as you will be responsible of the general maintenance of the turbines.

Your main tasks consist of implementing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance actions on the electrical and electronic parts of the turbine, analyzes and diagnoses faults in the electronic and electrical systems, using specific schemes and automated control systems as support (video screens from which check the performance of the machinery); identify the fault, carry out the repair and replacement of parts, modules or tools.

It is crucial that you will be fully compliant with SGRE safety codes and have a history of being able to follow set procedures.

As a person you are compliant, flexible, and eager to work in a job that will offer you freedom and great opportunity to learn and become an independent problem-solver. You will be multitasking and planning service activities, while coordinating these activities within your team. We are looking for someone who is accurate and has a high safety awareness.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for someone with at least a high school diploma (mechanical or electrical is a plus) and minimum 3 years of experience in the electricity- or mechanical industry. Experience in wind industry is considered an advantage but not a necessity.

The role is physically demanding and requires working in high altitudes. Driving license is a requirement and you should be flexible and prepared to travel as our wind farms are spread over a large geographical area.

It is important that you have basic English skills, both written and verbal, as some of the documentation and other tasks are completed in English.
