YOU’LL WORK ON:

You will work on ensuring that all occupational health and safety standards are followed and that adherence to governmental laws is maintained in manufacturing settings. You will be responsible for developing a safety culture to anticipate and prevent hazardous conditions, drive behaviors preventing illnesses in the workplace by monitoring R & D projects, deploy Automation and Control Solutions. Help in incidents investigation, determine root cause and develop corrective actions & support HSE inspections and audits.

YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:

  • Manage day-to-day HSE activities across Shift EV, with primary focus on the battery production lines and vehicle retrofitting operations.
  • Continuously learn and understand battery technology, assembly processes, and associated hazards to identify risks and improve the safety of the production lines.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections, risk assessments, and follow-up on corrective actions across production, workshops, warehouses, and other work areas to ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
  • Deliver weekly HSE training and toolbox talks, as well as HSE induction and onboarding training for new employees.
  • Manage and monitor contractors, including inductions, risk assessments, permits, safe work practices, and HSE performance.
  • Support and monitor fleet HSE operations, including vehicle safety, driver safety, inspections, and fleet incident investigations.
  • Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Support HSE legal and regulatory compliance, including monitoring applicable requirements, maintaining required records, supporting inspections/audits, and escalating any compliance gaps.
  • Flexibly manage non-routine activities and unexpected HSE situations, assessing risks quickly and implementing appropriate controls while coordinating with the relevant teams.
  • Support emergency preparedness, drills, fire safety, first aid, evacuation procedures, and response to battery and other workplace emergencies.
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, inspections, training records, and action trackers.
