Job Overview

As the Head of Sales, you will lead the charge in driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence in Egypt and the GCC, and building lasting relationships with fleet operators. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base, targeting businesses with vehicle fleets that can benefit from our industry-leading retrofitting technology. Your leadership will be key to growing our sales and account management team, optimizing the sales process, and ensuring that we deliver exceptional value to our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where you can directly impact the future of the electric vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Sales Strategy: Build and execute a data-driven sales strategy to expand Shift EV’s footprint in the fleet retrofitting market, targeting industries such as logistics, transportation, municipalities, and any other fleet-dependent businesses.

  • Lead the Sales Team: Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Provide training, guidance, and coaching to ensure the team hits its sales targets and develops long-term client relationships.

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Focus on driving new business opportunities and partnerships while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Identify key market segments that will benefit from our unique retrofit technology.

  • Solution Selling: Leverage Shift EV’s value proposition—cost savings, operational efficiency, sustainability, and the ability to give fleet vehicles a "second life"—to effectively communicate with decision-makers in businesses and organizations looking to reduce costs and transition to electric vehicles.

  • Sales Enablement: Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, case studies, and product demos that effectively communicate the benefits of Shift EV’s retrofitting solutions.

  • Customer Acquisition: Actively prospect new customers, nurture leads, and manage the sales pipeline from initial outreach to closed deals.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitors. Provide actionable insights to refine the product offering and sales strategies.

  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Use data and analytics to forecast sales, monitor progress, and report to the executive team on the sales pipeline, revenue goals, and key performance metrics.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop relationships with potential partners in the fleet industry, such as vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, energy companies, and other stakeholders, to increase market reach and accelerate adoption of Shift EV’s solutions.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and the successful implementation of sales strategies. Ensure the seamless onboarding and support of new clients.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in B2B sales within the fleet management, automotive, transportation, or clean tech industries. Experience in selling complex, high-ticket products or services is a plus. Prior P&L responsibility is a huge plus.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and lead a sales team to achieve ambitious growth targets. Experience in a startup environment is a bonus.

  • Deep Understanding of Fleet Operations: Familiarity with fleet management challenges, vehicle leasing, and operational costs is ideal, as well as an understanding of the benefits of electrification and sustainability in fleet operations.

  • Results-Oriented: Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. A data-driven approach to sales, with a focus on optimizing processes and driving results.

  • Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, educate them on the value of retrofitting, and close deals.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment. Passionate about sustainability and the future of electric vehicles.

  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with CRM systems and a good understanding of sales automation tools and technologies.

  • Solution-Oriented Sales: Ability to sell a technical solution and explain complex technologies in an accessible way to non-technical buyers.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US:

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary, performance-based bonuses and commissions, and equity in a high-growth startup.

  • Meaningful Work: Be part of a mission-driven company that is making a real impact on the future of transportation and sustainability.

  • Growth Opportunities: As an early member of the leadership team, you’ll have the chance to shape the company’s sales strategy and culture.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, along with generous paid time off.

  • Dynamic & Meritocratic Work Environment: A flexible, fast-paced work culture with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. You’ll work with a massively ambitious, world-class team.
