ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Foreign Procurement Senior Executive, you will oversee the procurement of foreign materials and services critical to Shift EV’s operations. Your role focuses on managing day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of requirements, and maintaining supplier relationships. You will also play a strategic role in optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and aligning procurement processes with company objectives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Procurement Operations and Coordination:
Supervise analysis of purchase requisitions to identify specifications and delivery requirements.
Oversee supplier payments in coordination with the finance department, ensuring timely processing and applying deductions for violations.
Coordinate with the planning, warehouse, and quality reception teams to ensure readiness for material receipt and utilization.
Maintain regular follow-ups on ongoing purchase orders to ensure compliance with agreements and delivery timelines.
Resolve billing and operational conflicts with vendors.
Ensure efficient management of purchase orders and delivery schedules to meet production and business needs.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Manage supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and ensure compliance with contractual terms and performance metrics.
Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and maximize value.
Commodity Strategy Development:
Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories (e.g., raw materials, components, services).
Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and benchmarking to support strategic decisions.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Cost Optimization and Value Engineering:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, supplier rationalization, and process improvements.
Monitor commodity market trends to mitigate risks related to price volatility, supply shortages, or quality issues.
Mentorship and Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement engineers and team members.
Contribute to the development of the procurement team’s capabilities and knowledge base.
YOU HAVE:
3-5 years of foreign materials procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.

Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
