YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:

  • Designing various automotive mechanical parts used in our vehicles.

  • Creating 3D models using SolidWorks as well as creating 2D drawings and maintaining engineering documentation flow to manufacture and assemble products

  • Doing the needed stress analysis simulations to assure the safety of the design.

  • Leading the continuous improvement of existing system design (Review and approve drawings and Bills-of-Materials for release)

  • Coordinate feedback from other teams to continuously improve product designs.

  • Participating in the quality objectives of the design department regarding minimum waste of raw material, decreasing manufacturing cost, and decreasing product man-hour to increase productivity

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience designing mechanical components and systems from concept through production validation (Preferably an automotive background).

  • Familiar with design for manufacturing (DFM) and different manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of stress analysis software (SolidWorks simulation, ANSYS, ABAQUS, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of cooling systems, Hydraulic systems & Refrigeration.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise projects while tracking own responsibilities.

  • Analyse various manufacturing issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

  • Previous experience using an ERP system (preferably SAP) is a plus.
