Main mission
In close cooperation and under the leadership of the Field Services VP and the Field Services Sales Manager, develops the services customer project business according to the BU strategy for the targeted business segments.
The Field Services Tendering Team Manager participates to the Bid Invest Decisions and leads the Field Services Tendering Team to address qualified opportunities by managing their transformation into an adequate Bid reflecting the Customer needs.
He or she actively participates to the business decisions and ensures that the sales & opportunity leaders receive the necessary commercial and technical support to address and close the targeted deals.
As a manager, he has to ensure competencies availability and renewal inside his team, as well as people development.
.Activities and areas of responsibility
Tendering process
- Review and define together with the Sales Manager the bidding strategy and priorities for the qualified opportunities portfolio.
- Coordinate the internal communication and follow up outstanding quotations to make sure submittal schedule is respected in line with the selling governance.
- Manages the Field Services Tendering Team and the consolidated quotations portfolio.
- Continuously monitors the tendering performance KPIs and takes the adequate actions of improvement when required.
- Actively and directly involves into the high level deals bidding process and approvals and assists the FS VP, Sales Manager and the Opportunity Leader during final negotiations and deal closing.
- Is the guarantor of the Services Selling Governance application and the Tendering Process implementation and follow up.
Management
Put in place relevant Management System to ensure perfect collaboration, and team collective dynamic.
Reports to the Cluster FS VP.
Internal: Sales Manager, Opportunity Leaders, Operations Team Leaders, Customer Project managers, Procurement, Logistics, Legal, Risk Managers, Finance, Quality, Safety
External: Customers, Subcontractors
Key Success Factors
Qualifications
Education and skills
Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial engineering degrees preferred.
Significant working experience, with a proven one as a team manager.
Entrepreneurial, engaged and highly motivated individual with excellent communication and presentation skills.
People leadership and teamwork, particularly within a multicultural environment.
Highly structured, process oriented with excellent planning capabilities.
Ability to understand and control all processes and behaviours from tender to delivery of high level services contracts.
A previous experience in Power Systems or Power Services would be a strong asset.
Foreign language : English required.
