Business Finance Project Controller - 0090AP

Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Project Controller for MCS. In this position, the individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Project Controlling function aligns with and upholds Corporate standards for all project controlling responsibilities. This includes the accurate and timely accounting of all project-related transactions, as well as the effective communication of project risks and opportunities to leadership.

This role will report directly to the NAM Finance Project Controlling Senior Manager



What will you do?

· Project Controlling

o Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions at a project and program level.

o Work closely with the account teams and executive leadership to execute financial strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

o Prepare quarterly business review process for each project controlling scope, in coordination with leadership and Sales / Operations teams

· Transformation

o Drive to completion the standardization and centralization of all Project Controlling functions within NAM Ops

o Continue to align with Group and implement policies/procedures in NAM to support the End-to-End Project Solutions methodology, (Denali and E2E Convergence).

· Financial Reporting

o Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders.

o Ensure financial reports both P&L and BS are accurate, timely and comply with the accounting standards/regulations and Schneider policies/GCP.

· Forecasting

o Participate in the rolling forecast and latest thinking processes for orders, sales and GM for the respective projects in scope.

o Monitor actual performance against forecast and make necessary adjustments.

· Risk Management

o Asses, manage and respond to financial risks

o Lead quarterly workshops in coordination with accounting to elevate risk and recommend provision approach for risks and opportunities.

o Active participation and business partnering in the Risk Escalation Level process

· Cash Management

o Coordinate with Treasury team to develop and monitor cash management strategies to optimize project cash flows.

· Leadership

o Provide leadership, development and prioritization for a team of 2 people.

o Foster a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field

· Issue resolution to identify issues and risks, analyze and understand underlying causes and devise appropriate actions plans

· Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights

· Excellent communication and people skills

· Decision-making and problem-solving skills

· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of financial professionals

· Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, etc.)
