Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for Senior Asset Analyst in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.
As our Senior Asset Analyst, you will ensure professional and efficient asset management support across project companies, assisting in the monitoring and execution of commercial and administrative activities. You will work closely with the Asset Management team and play an important role in supporting decision-making, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall performance and value of Scatec’s assets.
Main responsibilities
- Support the Senior Asset Manager in coordinating with Finance teams to ensure timely reporting on financial covenants, lender requirements, partner obligations, and group reporting, while liaising with accounting firms and auditors to maintain accurate financial records.
- Update and maintain financial models in line with financing agreements, prepare periodic budgets and cash flow forecasts, and conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis.
- Prepare and present materials for Board Meetings to the Dutch Holding Company and local project management.
- Assist in ensuring contractual and statutory compliance by maintaining document repositories, managing compliance with shareholder agreements, financing documents, licenses, permits, and regulatory requirements, including statutory filings and registers.
- Support compliance with insurance policies, health, safety, environmental, and social obligations, including timely renewals and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (technical, legal, financial, environmental, and social advisors) and support facility management activities in collaboration with relevant associations, contractors, and advisors.
- Monitor operational performance of project companies, including plant production, downtime, and efficiency, and support analysis of performance issues, maintenance activities, and cost estimates related to O&M and EPC contracts.
- Provide cross-functional support to local and global teams across project development, financing, construction, and operations, including site visits and additional administrative or project-related services not covered under existing contracts.
Qualifications and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, preferably with a Master’s degree.
- 5–9 years of relevant experience in finance management, asset management, project finance, corporate finance, controlling, accounting, or auditing, with the majority of experience gained in Egypt.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and internal controls.
- Experience in renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure sectors is preferred, along with exposure to project-financed agreements.
- International experience or experience working with foreign-owned subsidiaries is considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
