Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for HV Site Manager in Ras Gharib, Egypt for our wind project (Shadwan) to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.

As our HV Site Manager you will be Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day construction activities, implement high on-site quality standards, ensure all personnel and contractors maintain high HSE standards, and monitor & report progress. Anticipate and lead the team reaction to challenging site conditions (like extreme heat and windy dust storms) during key construction activities.

Main point of contact with the Contractors at site, responsible to lead daily and weekly meetings, coordinate the sequence of the construction activities with the support of supervisors. Accountable for all balance of plant site construction activities.

Main responsibilities

  1. Site Management & Coordination: Oversee project disciplines such as safety, environment, logistics, quality control, documentation, progress tracking, and community liaison, ensuring contractual compliance and supporting the Construction Team.
  2. Site Services & Budget Control: Ensure basic site services (security, office facilities, vehicles) are maintained and monitor related budget expenses.
  3. Team Management: Manage and coordinate Scatec site teams, including planning resources, controlling work hours, rotations, and addressing conduct or performance issues.
  4. Contractor Liaison: Act as the main contact with contractors, leading daily/weekly meetings and coordinating construction activities with supervisors.
  5. Reporting & Monitoring: Prepare daily and weekly construction reports and evaluate progress reports from subcontractors for accuracy.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Scatec in community meetings, liaising with local authorities, unions, environmental agencies, and supporting audits.
  7. Quality & Technical Oversight: Support supervisors in reviewing contractor method statements, procedures, technical assessments, and designs.
  8. Project Close-out & Handover: Manage site demobilization, contractor closure, onboarding of O&M teams, and handover activities at project completion.

Qualifications and competencies

  1. Education & Technical Knowledge: Minimum degree or diploma in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, with good MS Office skills; preferred qualifications include Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, renewable energy specialization, and project management education.
  2. Experience: Over 10 years in construction management, including electrical, mechanical, and civil works, with at least 7 years in EPC projects, and site management of HV GIS substations (preferably 500 kV).
  3. Languages & Additional Skills: Fluent in both Arabic and English, with expertise in reinforced concrete and steel works, and experience managing renewable energy construction projects.

Additional Information:

  • 12 Month Contract with potential contract extension.
