Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Junior Controller / Accounts Payable clerk in Tunis, Tunisia to be part of our global team working together towards our vision –Improving our future. As our Junior Controller / Accounts Payable clerk you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments in compliance with company policies. This entails reconciling accounts, maintaining records, and resolving discrepancies to support smooth financial operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales and Purchase Invoice/Credit Notes
- Some Credit Control
- Processing of Sales and Purchase orders when required
- Supplier Statements
- Work with the other Group employees in implementing strong controls and processes
- Follow year end processes and work with accountants to close general ledgers
- Reviews all accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy of coding, data entry, ensuring correct periods
- Checks for proper approvals and authorizations before payments are made
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
- Language: Good command of English (in word and writing)
- Experience of working in finance within a small team, with exposure to: Bookkeeping, Purchase Orders, Invoicing, Credit Control, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Month End
- Basic experience of working with Accounting Systems, training can be given.
- Experience of using Excel to an intermediate level and a good understanding of all other Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Able to multi-task under pressure
