Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for IT Advisor in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our IT advisor you will ensure professional and efficiency delivering expert-level technical support and incident resolution across first and second-line operations, ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of Scatec’s IT infrastructure. The role coordinates, assists, and trains end users in the effective use of computer hardware, software, and peripherals within Scatec’s systems across the MENA region, including Egypt, Tunisia, and Jordan. In addition, the position provides onsite IT support during critical deployment phases for new and existing facilities, requiring frequent local and regional travel
Main responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain IT equipment, and provide technical support to users at all levels.
- Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and ensure proper setup for new users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connection, and printer issues, ensuring timely ticket follow-up.
- Monitor and support the IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, hardware, and security compliance.
- Provide training, create user guides, and promote best practices for IT system usage.
- Coordinate with vendors, manage warranties, and oversee procurement and infrastructure projects.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of videoconferencing and communication tools.
- Participate in full project lifecycle activities, including site assessments, infrastructure delivery, and commissioning.
Qualifications and competencies
- Bachelor's or Honors degree in IT or a related field such as Information Technology, Systems Support, or Communication Networks.
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience providing 1st and 2nd line support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams, Azure, Entra, Intune, iOS, and Android.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
