Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Technician Assistant in Nagaa Hammadi, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Technician Assistant you will be responsible for the General and Safe Operation at the plants under his/her control and to ensure maximum power supply to the grid. Additionally, be responsible for coordinating and facilitating global control Officer duties as per PSR and ORHVS requirements and as required by the Plant Safety Engineer.

Main responsibilities

Performing the Following Tasks On-Site:

  • Ensuring inverter availability, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs.
  • Performing electrical system maintenance and repairs, including solar tracker structures.
  • Maintaining and repairing other electrical systems such as water distribution systems and backup generators.
  • Conducting Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) with the support of site engineers and technicians.
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components.
  • Repairing PV modules, associated cabling, and electrical connections.
  • Performing periodic inspections of mechanical equipment, electrical tools, and low-current systems.
  • Modifying, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems such as tracker structures.
  • Conducting monthly inspections of electrical tools and equipment.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Assisting with reporting requirements and documentation related to site operations.
  • Performing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) inspections and audits.
  • Carrying out general site tasks as required.

Qualifications and competencies

Min:

Technical high school or equivalent certificate in electrical field

2+ years Electrical experience – AC & DC (LV, HV)

Proven experience of AC & DC electrical troubleshooting and repairs

Ideal:

HV knowledge and experience

Solar PV Plant (inverters, trackers and combiner box)

Good at using computer programs (word & Excel)
