Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Commissioning Manager in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Commissioning Manager you will manage the activities on-site related to Commissioning, Performance Test and Grid Code Compliance.
Scatec’s key point of contact on-site and responsible for interaction with Commissioning Contractors, as well as support the Project Technical Manager on interactions with Grid Operator, Utilities and all necessary Stakeholders to ensure the PV Plant is successfully commissioned, energized and grid code compliant.
Main responsibilities
- Implementation of the master commissioning plan on site
- Coordination of all stakeholders on site in accordance with the plan
- Management of key supplier personnel on site to ensure that activities carried out on sub-systems are completed in a sequential and safe manner; as well as on time and as per the contractual agreement
- Tracking and кeporting on commissioning activities against the planned schedule and updating of the master commissioning plan with the assistance of the PTM
- Tracking, witnessing and collation of key documentation in coordination with other Scatec departments: Calibration certificates; Supplier commissioning reports and QA/QC reports; SATs; Punching and punch lists; Daily reports etc.
- Driving rectification of defects in conjunction with the Scatec site team
- Working with site team to execute safe energization / switching procedures
- Properly advice on resources needed to carry out the commissioning activities within project’s timeline
- Support to PM/PTM and engineering team for post-commissioning activities
Qualifications and competencies
- Qualification and Training in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Specialization in solar and/or renewable energy is desirable
- Experience over 10 years in managing large-scale construction projects with knowledge of: License and permit management; Solid experience in commissioning for different suppliers and contractors, managing a team, time, quality, risk
- 2+ years working with EPC projects
- Ability to communicate with related parties in English
- Organizational capacity
- Proactivity and Hands-on approcah
- Excellent level of communication and interpersonal relationships
- Fluent both written and spoken in English and French
