Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Community Liaison Officer in Cairo, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Community Liaison Officer...you will

  • Establish and maintain an effective relationship between the local community and Scatec
  • Build and foster an environment that supports community involvement, continuous community engagement
  • Provide community members with opportunities to express their concerns and raise issues
  • Provide regular and timely information and project updates to the local community and relevant stakeholders.
  • Create a stakeholder database, develop and regularly update community profiles and expectations
  • Report any community issues to the line manager and project/plant manager of that might affect the project activities or operations
  • Manage the grievance mechanism
  • Liaise with the project management & local government offices for planning and implementation of resettlement of households impacted by the project as relevant and communication of local job other opportunities to the communities
  • Identify and develop proposals for community development projects aligned with the sustainability policy
  • Review and identify potential partners for community development initiatives

Qualifications and competencies

  • General knowledge of local and state government practices
  • Well-developed knowledge of local language, culture, customs and practices in the community
  • Have IT skills for operating Software and Apps
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years in community experience
  • Socio economic development & Stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with all levels of society
  • Ability to coordinate and negotiate
