We’re on the lookout for a Outside Operator KLB to safely and efficiently operate the equipment under his/her control, to ensure optimum production thereby reducing downtime.

As a Outside Operator KLB, you will be responsible for:

• Start up, operate and monitor the plant in accordance with approved operating procedures and safe work practices.
• Perform regular visual inspections and outside plant checks, identifying, rectifying and reporting equipment deficiencies and abnormal conditions.
• Maintain constant communication with Process Controllers via radio to ensure effective coordination and safe plant operation.
• Perform plant isolations and prepare clearance certificates for maintenance activities in accordance with safe work procedures.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate operational and safety risks within the area of responsibility.
• Conduct quality and performance checks to ensure the plant operates within required standards and specifications.
• Initiate maintenance notifications to the relevant Maintenance Departments and follow up on identified equipment or plant-related deficiencies.
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational compliance, including completing audits, checklists and required safety activities.

What are we looking for?

• Matric (Grade 12) with Math’s and Physical Science or an N3 in Pulp and Paper.
• 1-3 years relevant operational production experience.
