We are hiring!

We’re on the lookout for an Shift Manager Fibre Line #3 to maximize plant performance by aligning, guiding and co-ordinating the activities of the team to utilize the skills and experience of each team member to achieve targets in terms of production volumes, quality, uptime, safety, costs and staff development.

As an Shift Manager Fibre Line #3 you will be responsible for:

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Leads a shift-based team assigned to Fibreline 3 to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operations.
  • Plans and optimises plant operations to maximise utilisation of raw materials, energy, and manpower.
  • Executes production activities including start-ups, shutdowns, logs, trends, and operational checks to maintain quality and efficiency.

PROCESS CONTROL & STABILITY

  • Assesses and manages abnormal plant conditions to ensure plant stability and minimise downtime.
  • Recommends maintenance, upgrades, and equipment replacements to improve production efficiency and reliability.

ENGAGED AND DEVELOPED WORKFORCE

  • Coaches, mentors, and assesses team members against position profiles to improve performance.
  • Ensures effective implementation of on-the-job and off-the-job training activities.
  • Evaluates and manages team performance against objectives and behavioural standards.

SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT (SHEQ)

  • Ensures full compliance with SHEQ requirements and corrects non-conformances.
  • Investigates incidents and ensures root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maintains high housekeeping standards and ensures BBS observations are conducted as required.

BUDGET AND COST CONTROL

  • Ensures adherence to annual budgets including fixed costs, overtime, manpower, and renewals.

STAKEHOLDER AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS

  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Responds to feedback and implements corrective actions to support operational and customer requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • BSc Chemical Engineering / BTech Chemical Engineering / BTech Pulp and Paper.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Pulp and Paper industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Dissolving Pulp operations.
  • Relevant Management qualification.
  • 2 years’ supervisory exposure.
