We’re on the lookout for an experienced Slab Driver to supply pulp to PM1 and PM2 and logs to GW when required, guided by the Outside Operator and/or Shift Supt. Maintains good housekeeping in the Noodle Slab and Repulper area (cleaning of spills and trenches, sweeping of fluff etc.).

As an Slab Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Keeping all personal legal licenses valid and completing annual medical screenings on time.
• Carrying your vehicle license at all times and operating Forklift, FEL, and Telelogger as required.
• Beginning each shift with a Safety Moment and reporting all safety incidents and near misses.
• Adhering to PPE requirements and maintaining 5S housekeeping standards in Repulper and GW areas.
• Performing vehicle inspections at shift start and reporting any faults immediately.
• Feeding the correct noodle grade into hoppers and maintaining pulp levels for pulper operations.
• Supplying loose pulp to conveyors, removing excess pulp, and preventing foreign object damage.
• Ensuring FEL bucket is clean to avoid cross-contamination of chips and pulp.
• Collecting and stacking pulp reels for pulper feeding and proper slab organization.
• Loading/offloading pulp reels, bales, and logs; removing bale wires before conveyor placement.
• Feeding logs to the Groundwood plant and chips to the sugar plant hopper as needed.
• Performing additional duties assigned by the Shift Superintendent to support plant operations.

What are we looking for:

• Grade 12 (Maths and Science) or N3 Pulp and Paper.
• Minimum 3 Months experience in Pulp and paper industry.
