Through the Climate Resilience Programme, with support from Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance and Swiss Re Foundation, Practical Action in Nepal is working closely with the Local Governments, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) and basin Office of Hydrology and Meteorology (OHM) under DHM, in strengthening early warning system in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim province, and across the Karnali River Basin, through installation, upgrade and regular maintenance of early warning systems. As the programme is advancing to multi-hazards approach, it aims to strengthen the hydrometeorology stations, emergency operations and operationalising alert systems at the local level through the installation of multi-hazards automatic sirens (MHAS) in six (6) locations in Bhimdatta Municipality, Bedkot Municipality, Belauri Municipality, Tikapur Municipality, Barbardiya Municipality, and Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, and 3 (three) at watershed level in Lower Karnali and Donda watershed in Sudurpaschim Province.

Application Procedure

Practical Action in Nepal invites sealed bids/quotations from eligible and interested firms/agencies/companies after reviewing the detail specification and to submit a letter of interest along with the financial proposals, technical proposal, last three year’s audited financial statements, copy of VAT and Company registration, a copy of the latest tax clearance certificate of fiscal year 2081/82 in sealed envelope. It should be marked as Installation and operationalisation of Multi-Hazards Automatic Siren for CRP” and sent to the address below no later than Sunday , 12 April 2026 before 17:00 hrs.
