We are growing very fast to cover the rest of Kenya and eventually Africa. It is from this background that we seek prospective candidates to fill the role of an a Commercial Partnerships Manager in our Commercial Department.

Role Summary:

To lead the identification, engagement, and onboarding of property agencies, landlords, and property managers. The role focuses on scaling partnership acquisition, driving quality demand generation, resolving stakeholder challenges, and accelerating bulk adoption of Poa! Internet within multi-tenant properties. The role is responsible for delivering these objectives either directly or through allocated resources.

People:

Responsible for managing a team of field sales representatives in the respective territory, overseeing up to 350 indirect active sales agents.

Location:

Mombasa.


Role Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and shadow field sales representatives to achieve their respective deliverables as per the business objectives.
  2. Market Penetration: Oversee mapping and targeting of landlords, agencies, and property stakeholders.
  3. B2B Engagement & Partnerships: Support negotiations and drive closure of bulk partnership agreements.
  4. Pipeline Management: Track building pipeline stages to ensure accuracy, progression, and conversion.
  5. Demand Validation: Audit household demand to ensure quality and conversion readiness.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Resolve landlord issues and unblock partnerships.
  7. Collaboration: Align with installation, marketing, and sales teams for smooth rollout and activation.
  8. Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor market trends, track performance, and provide actionable insights.
  9. Operational Excellence: Ensure proper asset management, reconciliation and process compliance.
  10. Any other duties that will be allocated by the line manager including but not limited to end to end management of buildings in the fiber project and other business projects that require building management, management of investors and other stakeholders who require immersion into our business, management of our digital platform and other inbound calls

  8. Team Player: Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful partner onboarding and activation.
  9. Critical factor hands on, on the ground, in the Field. Not a desk job!
  10. History of recruiting exceptional high performing field sales teams and demonstrable experience in growing and developing them
  11. Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key departments
  12. Willing and able to get down and grubby on the ground in the areas we operate. Tactical, scrappy, relentless.

Academic Qualifications Required:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in B2B/enterprise sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team management role within telecommunications, ISP, real estate, or related sectors.
  2. Proven ability to manage teams and close high-value partnerships or bulk deals.
  3. Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  4. Proficiency in CRM tools, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting.
