It is from this background that we seek prospective candidates to fill the role of Trade Development Representative - Nairobi in our Agency Sales Department.

Mission Statement for the Role:
To identify, engage, and onboard property agencies, landlords, and property managers to partner with Poa! Internet in providing internet access to their tenants. The role focuses on building strong business relationships, negotiating partnership agreements, and driving bulk adoption of Poa Internet within multi-tenant properties.
Territory:
Nairobi
Role Responsibilities:
- Market Penetration: Identify and map key property agencies, real estate companies, and landlords in the assigned territories.
- B2B Engagement: Conduct professional presentations and meetings with landlords or property agents to secure permissions for Poa to provide internet.
- Partnership Development: Negotiate agreements that enable Poa to serve all or majority of tenants within buildings or estates.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain an active pipeline of potential properties through consistent engagement, follow-ups, and relationship nurturing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with installation, marketing, and sales teams to ensure smooth rollout and tenant activation once agreements are secured.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about property trends, competitor strategies, and internet service adoption patterns within real estate.
- Reports: Track performance, report progress on partnerships, and provide actionable feedback for process improvement
Academic Qualifications required:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
Key competencies required for the role:
- Relationship Builder: Skilled at creating and maintaining trust based relationships with decision makers (landlords, agents, property managers).
- Negotiator Strong influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to secure win-win agreements.
- Business Acumen : Understands how property and internet service models intersect and can articulate business value to partners.
- Proactive & Goal Driven : Self motivated with a clear focus on meeting sales and partnership targets.
- Analytical Thinker : Able to identify trends, assess market opportunities, and propose solutions.
- Adaptable : Thrives in a fast as well as changing business environment and adjusts to different client types.
- Team Player : Collaborates effectively with internal teams to deliver seamless partner onboarding and activation
Mandatory criteria with no exceptions to hire:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2B or enterprise sales within service sectors such as telecommunications, internet service providers (ISP), insurance, or real estate.
- Demonstrated ability to close business partnerships or bulk sales deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools, lead management, and reporting.
